Gamini Singla is an Indian lady who placed third in the UPSC Civil Services Exam 2021 with an All India Rank of three (AIR three).
Girls took the first four spots in the CSE 2021. On her second attempt, Singla aced the UPSC CSE with flying colours.
"This demonstrates that Indian women are capable of achieving anything if they work hard and dedicate themselves."
Gamini's primary choice of duty was IAS, and her second choice was IPS. She stated this in an interview.
She stated, "I have chosen the Indian Administrative Service (IAS) and would like to serve for the country's progress and welfare."
In the Indian Police Service, Gamini looks up to Kiran Bedi and one of her direct superiors, IPS Navjot Simmi.
She secured a job with JPMorgan Chase & Co. after completing her B.Tech at PEC, but only stayed for 6 months in 2018.
She was the class spokesperson and was offered a position during campus placements, but she declined since she wanted to work in the civil service.
She chose sociology as an elective topic. She reportedly self-studied for her exam and relied on her father to keep up with current events.
I used to study for 9-10 hours a day, she remarked. In Patiala, I received tutoring from Vinod sir. I mostly conducted self-study to prepare for the exam, and I eventually passed.
My family, particularly my father, has been really supportive emotionally and academically; we used to talk about school and he knew what was important to me.

Gamini was an exceptionally bright student. Her name was remembered in the department, and we were all convinced that she would pass the exam. CSE department's Professor Sanjeev said this.
